I think Anthropic did a good job establishing the core primitives.

We really only need a few building blocks for everything discussed above:

1. Fresh context window

   → Achievable with a subagent

2. Intelligent instructions executed by the agent

   → Skill / Markdown file

3. Deterministic steps executed by code

   → Dynamic Workflows

These three primitives can be composed to build almost anything we want.
